Just to let you know, I'm using this for a holiday homework school task. it's very good art

wakige responds:

thank you!
Good luck with your homework 💪

amazing, how did you get the lighting to look the way it did?

fliphrrr responds:

I always decide on the background first to quickly set up the piece's mood.

I knew beforehand I wanted a piece with a lot of contrast (other times, I just wanted harmony in the work), so I purposefully selected cold colors that were analogous between them (the blues) and put them versus a highly saturated warm color (the pink hue in the light).

For the shading itself, I make a shape with the Lasoo tool and then apply a gradient with a soft brush (like working with an airbrush) for the shading to fade in, and that technique stacks each other with each layer of render I make.

The heavy lift of all this is undoubtedly the black spots; chiaroscuro is the technique in which you use strong contrasts of light and dark. It's the standard in comic art because it lets you describe a lot of volume in just the inking.

I hope that helps!

I like border collies, thank you for making this.

Starscarp responds:

just found the comic, loving the large proportions of the gun, do you have any tips for making comics, specifically enduring it?

J-Nelson responds:

My advice is to write your comic script entirely and thumbnail all the pages before starting. It's a lot of work, but save loads of time so you're not agonizing over how each page should look when you get to them.

reminds me of the incredibles for some reason, or some old 2000's show, very good, love the texturing, making it seem worn and old.

PartimePunk responds:

Thank you! I’ve been looking at a lot of Art Deco and samurai jack stuff.

Hey, this is great, you got any tips for making low-poly psx style models?

PopStrikers responds:

I'm planning on doing a series on my YouTube channel in the next month or so all about low poly modeling. Quick tips though: Keep textures under 256x256, disable anti-aliasing, and reduce the amount of colors in a texture to simulate the PS1's limited color palette.

angry cats.

ZingcoArt responds:
